Travelling East: Adelaide-Sydney

So this is my first attempt at Blogging. Excuse me if it is a little rough. Also, excuse the doubling up of content, once this is up to date I will discard the mass emails and photos albums and get you to check my blog site for updates and photos.

Adelaide-Melbourne

This was an amazing trip. I pushed it hard though and ended up with 8-10 hr day road trips. Pt Campbell, where I stopped in for my first night was quaint and pretty. The locals were very friendly and helpful. I had my spare tyre fixed and my gas stove fixed to stop it blowing up in my face as it did the first night. Something to do with a blocked valve.

Sorrento Back beach and House

I got to Melbourne about 12 April and settled into lengthy girlfriend chats with Marylou (MLV). We took in the night life, did a 30 km bike ride to Williamstown and back and jogged the Botanical Gardens ('Tan). Loved it. A highlight was the trips to Sorrento where we stayed at a friend's house near the back beach. This is where I studied for my Dive Rescue Course. I finished the course on the 22nd and apart from spraining my ankle, it went well. It was draining and physically demanding but well worth doing.

Mallacoota Sunrise

Ralph and I in Sydney

I did some big days travelling from Melbourne to Sydney. I stayed overnight at Mallacoota, just inside the Victorian border, after 8 hours driving. The sunrise over the pelicans and black swans in the inlet was breathtaking. Dad's ashes have now been sprinkled on the Great Ocean Road and Mallacoota.
I drove into Sydney, after 10 hours driving in pouring rain and darkness...fun! Welcome to Sydney. Next Post is Sydney to Brisbane.
